According to TBR reports, Tottenham has made renewing the contract of defense core Van der Ven one of its top priorities and plans to complete the deal before the New Year.

The move is aimed at preventing Van de Veen's future from becoming a focus of discussion in the upcoming transfer window, especially with Real Madrid, Chelsea and Bayern already showing interest in him.

Sources revealed that although Van der Veen's current contract does not expire until 2028, Tottenham hopes to reward his performance as one of Europe's top defenders with a new contract and ensure that he stays with the team satisfactorily.

It is reported that Tottenham are prepared to more than double Van de Ven’s current weekly salary of about 50,000 pounds. Recently, the 24-year-old Dutch international was appointed as the team's vice-captain by coach Frank due to his outstanding leadership. The famous Sol Campbell even ranked him ahead of Van Dijk.
