Liverpool coach Slott said at a press conference that Chiesa was out of the Champions League roster against Galatasaray because he suffered a minor injury.

He said: "Chiesa suffered a minor injury in the last game against Crystal Palace. I think it's called 'niggle' in England."

"He tried training today and was on the court at the beginning, but he couldn't finish the whole training class. So we decided not to take him to Istanbul because we will have to play Chelsea in a few days."
