In last week's North London Derby, Eze's performance stunned the audience and scored a hat trick. Former Tottenham coach Sherwood said in an interview with Sky Fan Club that Eze is expected to get a starting position in next year's World Cup. If Tuchel uses the number 10 position in his tactics, then Eze is perfect for the role, although he will face competition from Real Madrid's Bellingham, Chelsea's Palmer and Aston Villa's Rodgers.

Sherwood said: "We might be a little excited because he scored a hat-trick in the North London derby, which means a lot to Eze and it means a lot to Arsenal. But if you asked me before, who is the most talented No. 10, a true No. 10, who can play in that position in the middle? I would say Eze. He is quick and has both feet. Very good. He has everything, he has vision. He is the most talented No. 10 player in England. If we are going to play No. 10, I am not sure if Tuchel wants to play No. 10, it must be Eze.”

Eze himself was asked what it meant to score for Arsenal against Tottenham, who almost signed him this summer. While he somewhat dodged the question, Sherwood praised his attitude.

Sherwood said: "Give this kid a thumbs up, he seems completely unaffected by the atmosphere of the game. He knows how much noise there is outside in this game. But he just puts the pressure on his shoulders. That's what big-game players do."
