The Post wrote an article about the deep reasons for the cold relationship between Chelsea coach Maresca and Brighton coach Hulzer.

It is understood that the primary reason why Maresca refused to praise Herzele at press conferences many times and instead praised his predecessor Dezelby was his "loyalty" to the latter.

Maresca and Dezelby are Italian compatriots and friends who have known each other for 30 years. The two have met since AC Milan's youth training. Sources revealed that Maresca believes that if Helzelle hadn't taken over, his friend Dezelby would have continued to succeed in Brighton.

Secondly, Herzell's own passionate sideline style also exacerbates the contradiction. The 32-year-old coach is known for his "happiness and anger". His frequent pressure on the referee and demanding to play cards against opponents not only annoyed Maresca, but even Guardiola refused to shake hands with him after the game.

A referee source said Hulzer admitted that he had difficulty controlling his emotions, but that was seen as "a part of his growth." Hulzell himself once admitted that the players he had played may think he was a "bastard".
