Reuters reported the news that the Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Partnership (hereinafter referred to as the Consortium) was established in September last year with the initial goal of investing more than US$30 billion (S$38 billion) in AI-related projects, including data centers and energy facilities required to support artificial intelligence applications such as ChatGPT.

Temasek's participation follows the Kuwait Investment Authority joining the consortium in early June.

The purpose of this consortium is to raise up to $100 billion (including debt financing) for such investments, focusing on the US market.

Kuwait's sovereign wealth fund is the first non-founder financial cornerstone investor to join the consortium, with partners including Nvidia and billionaire Musk's xAI company.
