Jota and Andre Silva died in a tragic traffic accident last Friday, the Daily Sports Daily reported. The accident happened on a road in Zamora. According to National Guard experts, the Portuguese brothers were driving their Lamborghini at high speed when the collision occurred. However, the truck driver who first arrived at the scene to try to help the players denied this claim.

The truck driver, named Jose Azevedo, claimed he was the person who filmed the video of the vehicle's fire within minutes of the accident and posted his description of the incident on social media. Azevedo said that although he initially hesitated whether to disclose the experience, the accusations on the Internet prompted him to come forward and clarify the facts. These accusations include that he did not help the brothers, but instead focused on recording videos to get likes.

Azevedo explained that he had tried to rescue, but soon realized that he was powerless: "I took the video and stopped to try rescue, but unfortunately I couldn't do anything to save their lives. My conscience was very calm. I knew what happened that night because I didn't know who was in the car at that time. I expressed my deepest condolences to their families."

As the person who suspected of filming and spreading the video, Jose Azevedo also denied the contents of the preliminary report of the Spanish National Guard. He believes that the brothers are not speeding.

Azevedo said: "I can assure the family that they are not speeding. When I see them passing by, I can clearly identify the brand and color of the car. They look very calm. I drive on this road every day, from Monday to Saturday, so I understand the situation on the road and have seen some horrible behaviors of other vehicles, but they, I say again, are very calm. Even though it was dark that night, I could see the vehicle information perfectly. Unfortunately, there was a collision in the end."
