BBC officially announced that Chelsea goalkeeper Hampton was elected BBC Women's Footballer of the Year.

Hampton helped Chelsea women's football team win the league, FA Cup, and League Cup last season, and at the national team level, she defended the European Cup with the England women's football team. The official BBC social media posted a poster confirming that Hampton was selected as the BBC Women's Footballer of the Year in 2025.
