Ederson revealed to Manchester City's official website that he had foreseen the victory five days before the Champions League final.

Ederson: "Wow, it was a memorable night, it was a long day. The game was played in the evening, and I was already very nervous in the morning. I practiced yoga and meditation. I also talked to my psychologist. She told me to imagine the finals and the scene after the game. It was five days before the game. I told her that we led 1-0, and at the last minute of the game, they crossed, I hit the ball, and the game ended. I imagined that scene, and the actual game was almost the same. There was a cross, and then a header, and I made a save. After I finished, she planted the idea in my mind and it really came true. What a wonderful day, what a wonderful season."

Guardiola praised his goalkeeper performance many times throughout the season, saying that it would be impossible to win without him. Ederson agreed, believing that it was the peak of his career.

"No doubt that was my best season, with only two Premier League teams winning the triple championship, Manchester United and Manchester City. We made history."

Only B played more under Guardiola than Ederson, and the Brazilian made 372 appearances in eight years. As a 23-year-old young player with limited experience, Ederson thanked Guardiola and goalkeeper coach Xavi Mancisdore for their impact on him, which allowed him to achieve what he is now.

"It was very easy for me to be with Guardiola. He helped me understand the game and how the opponents pressed, I was calm, and he told me to take my time and make the right decision. When I was young, I played indoor football first and then started playing official football, which I thought helped a lot for me to control the ball with my feet. During the eight years with Mancisdor, he listened to me to talk about a lot of things. He was my confidant at the club. If I had questions I would ask him, and if I was in a good mood I would tell him. A lot of memories, every day of each season. My relationship with Mancisdor was closer than I had with Guardiola because he was a goalkeeper coach, which was normal. But I just wanted to say a lot of thanks to the two and all the staff, and it wouldn't have been possible without these people."
