Echo: Liverpool is in direct conversation with Bournemouth, but has not yet made a formal offer for Kolkedz
According to the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool is currently in a direct conversation with Bournemouth, but has not officially offered Kolketz.
It is reported that Liverpool increased its efforts to introduce the Hungarian left-back last week and has now started a dialogue with Bournemouth, but has not yet made a formal offer. Bournemouth is currently on the end of the season on the U.S. East Coast, but athletic director Simon Francis remains in touch with his former Richard Hughes, who is leading transfer negotiations for Kolkerz on behalf of his former club. At present, negotiations about Kolkz are also going well, and Liverpool is preparing to defend the Premier League champion next season. Bournemouth estimates their left back at £45 million, but Liverpool hopes to lower that valuation as the player was only 19 when he joined Alkmaar for about £17 million less than two years ago. The rescheduled transfer window has opened on June 1, however, the adjusted date has little impact on Liverpool's negotiations, and they still hope to complete the signing as soon as possible so that new players can have a full preseason under Slott.
Bornemouth is not in a hurry to sell Kolkz as Wyson triggered a £50m termination clause to Real Madrid, hoping to get a fee to make Kolkz the 21-year-old Kolkz the most expensive left-back in club history. However, Bournemouth has realized that a deal may be reached with Liverpool, and Elaura's side is reportedly close to signing Rennes' Adrian Truffet for £10 million.
After the Netherlands defeated Malta 8-0 on Tuesday night, Kolkedz's teammate Justin Cruivet said: "He might go there (Liverpool). I hope he can succeed, he hasn't really said goodbye yet, but I hope he can fulfill his wish there."
Shortly after the Premier League season, Kolkedz hinted on social media that his future may not be in Bournemouth, writing: "Thanks to the coach for starting all 38 games, especially for God's blessing to keep me healthy, of course, this is impossible without family, I don't know what will happen next week, but I'm very grateful to Bournemouth!"
