How to prevent floor deformation

Solid wood floors are of high grade and grandeur, which is troublesome to maintain. Some maintenance areas may not be considered, and some may be encountered but do not know how to deal with them.

1. If the heating is leaking or there are water stains on the ground, it must be wiped clean in time. Do not let the sun burst or bake directly in an electric stove to avoid drying too quickly and the floor cracking.

2. Keep the floor dry and clean, and do not wet the mop with water or scrub it with alkaline water or soapy water to avoid damaging the brightness of the paint and damaging the paint film. If there is dust or dirt, you can use a dry mop or a wrung wet mop to wipe it. Wax once a month (or two months) (wipe the water vapor and stains clean before waxing).

3. If any stains are accidentally stained on the floor, you should remove them in time. If there is any oil stain, you can wipe them with a rag or mop with warm water or a small amount of washing powder. You can also use neutral soapy water and a little detergent to wipe them. If the stain is serious, this method is ineffective. You can use high-quality sandpaper or steel wool to gently wipe it. If it is a stain of drugs, beverages or pigments, it must be removed before the stain penetrates into the wooden surface. The removal method is wiped with a soft cloth dipped in furniture wax. If it is still invalid, you must use a steel wool ball to dip it in furniture wax. If the surface of the floor layer is burned by a cigarette butt, wipe it hard with a soft cloth soaked in furniture wax to restore the light. If the ink is contaminated, wipe it with a soft wax cloth soaked in time. If it is ineffective, you can wipe it with a steel wiping ball dipped in furniture wax.

4. If you don't stay in a long time, do not cover it with plastic cloth or newspaper. As the paint film will become sticky and lose its luster after a long time. At the same time, do not place hot water basins, hot rice cookers and other items directly on the floor and use wooden boards or straw mats to avoid burning the paint film.

5. The painted floor after laying should be minimized to prevent excessive exposure to ultraviolet rays, drying and aging ahead of time. Place furniture on the floor with rubber or other soft pads to prevent the floor paint from being scratched.

What to do if the floor is deformed

1. The wooden floor swells and arches, that is, the wooden floor panel we see partially arches upwards, or some wooden floors arches upwards. This phenomenon is generally due to continuous rainy weather, the relative humidity in the air is high, and no moisture removal measures are taken. The moisture in the air is absorbed by the wooden floor and then swells; the wooden floor absorbs moisture and expands after being immersed in water. This situation can be solved well as long as the windows are opened frequently for ventilation, and the structural extension joints, segmented joints are reserved according to regulations and the reserved extension joints between adjacent plates.

2. The wooden floor is curved and deformed, that is, the wooden floor is raised upwards on both sides of the horizontal direction, like a tile shape. In this case, as long as we are in construction, the concrete base layer must meet the moisture content requirements before it can be constructed. When the moisture content exceeds the standard, the moisture-proof isolation layer must be paved. The moisture-proof isolation layer should be sealed as a whole, and waterproof, moisture-proof isolation and blocking measures should be taken. This can be very good to prevent. As for the solution, it requires removing the wooden floors around the room to let it scatter the moisture, which can partially alleviate the deformation and replace the severely deformed wooden floors; if the deformation area of the wooden floor is large, the paved wooden floor can be removed and repaved after the concrete base layer or keel is dried. Repaint the original available wooden floors and replace the wooden floors that affect use.

3. Cracks occur on the wooden floor panel, that is, tiny cracks appear on the wooden floor paint surface. In severe cases, the paint film peels off. In fact, as long as we choose the wooden floor of a good-quality manufacturer, the adhesion, elasticity and wear resistance of the paint film can be guaranteed. As for the solution, if a small amount of paint film cracks, repair can be performed. If the cracking area is large, you can polish it and repaint it. If the paint film of a single piece of wood floor is long, you can replace the wooden floor with a single piece.

4. The wooden floor is dry and shrinking and the gap is separated from the grooves of the wooden floor after installation for a period of time. In this case, when the function does not affect the use, you can wait for a long time to balance the moisture content of the wooden floor with the relative humidity in the air, and adopt a dismantling and repaving plan as appropriate; or dismantling and repaving all of them, and set up adjacent plate extension joints as required.
